Your room is prepared for refinishing by clearing all the furniture and window treatments, covering the light fixtures and wall outlets, removing any molding, and sealing off the work area with tarps. The floor is then thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed to prep the area for sanding.

Sanding your hardwood floor removes the old worm out finish and imperfections in the wood. Floor sanding is performed with a drum sander, working from rougher grit sandpaper to finer in order to achieve a smooth, even finish. Depending on the damage and condition of your floor, sanding depth will be adjusted.

Clear or stain coats are added to get desired color and finish, applied in multiple thin even coats.

Top and finish coats are also added for durability.

Following the final finishing coats, a final buff is performed to ensure an even, beautiful finish.
